I was tearing along the coastal route
The little white horses racing into shore
When this song came over the radio
And galloped into my heart.
I pulled over onto the shoulder.
I was transported.
I closed my eyes and let the music
Take me.
8.30 seconds later I was released.
It was good to hear Derek and The Dominoes again.
It was good to hear ‘Layla’
What songs stop you in your tracks, transport you to other places? What songs do you pull over for?
So pretty to read!
A song titled ‘stay’ by blackpink makes me cry. It a Korean song but good for a change!

thank you. don’t know that one but it’s good to hear people are diversifying their musical palette into Korean music. I hear it’s very big. How did you come across it?

Yes it’s a big industry with Diligent people. I came across this via one of my friends who’s much very into kpop. and the moment I heard it, I just know it was my type of melody

Sorry because of the autocorrect the sentence doesn’t sound right😅

don’t worry. it sounded okay to me BUT I’m aware of the perils of autocorrect through sending text messages 🙂

Haha. Sometimes its good, but then when I actually don’t need it, it gets troublesome.

California Stars does that for me. It’s on the Mermaid Avenue album by Wilco and Billy Bragg, in which they wrote music for Woody Guthrie lyrics.
And yeah, Layla’s great too. See ya!

yeh, Billy Bragg’s great. Love the title, Mermaid Avenue. I think early Dylan wrote songs using Woody Guthrie’s music or in his style.
