Your face, my friend, is a poem.
An ode to youth,
masculinity,
not the toxic kind
but the Howard Keel kind
of Seven Brides & Seven Brothers
cocky, confident, wholesome.
I bet you have a brawny baritone too,
can hold a song
in any amateur musical;
I bet thereβs a bit of the buffoon about you
as well
that swaggery moustache
that raucous smile;
itβs not a bad dial
to go through life with
- the poetry is pretty good too. Visit JOJO by googling JOJO AL-WAEALY and his blog comes up

I reckon most of our fellow bloggers would be too young to recognize the reference. I don’t know what Jojo made of it π

Hahah, Well John. You are in luck, my father and I, when I still was Little, used to love watch classics together. From movies to musicals. TCM was out to go to channelπππ½

Howard Keel was a mighty baritone for sure; and some folks remember his run on the TV show Dallas as Clayton Farlow.

I don’t remember that but I was — and still am — a fan of the old Hollywood Musicals: Howard and that guy from South Pacific, Rossano Brazzi

Hmm. I thought that was Enzo Somebody. Was it Howard Keel in Carousel? Sometimes I confuse him with Gordon McRae.

I’m confused too now; after a while, they all sound the same; great voices, all the same; and don’t get me started on the king of them all, Mario Lanza π

No one here enjoys the old musicals as I do. That one has a lot of great parallels. Love the color-coordinated costumes, too. π
