There’s someone walking around
inside my head
padding around in his slippers
wondering
what to do with himself:
should he write a poem?
read another chapter of ‘The Freedom Circus’ ?
write a witty comment
on Beth’s ‘Wild Sounds’?
What?
Another episode of ‘Father Brown’?
it wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t flush
the toilet so often
or go to the fridge.
Look, it’s ten o’clock, I say to him,
could you please
settle down
so I can get some sleep?
that person in your head is on his own timeline and refuses to follow your rules

relationships are certainly tricky, I’ll give you that 🙂 ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ is an engrossing read, also true story

That person tends to replay vast chronologies from my past when he is stomping around in my mind; or he is rehearsing possible solutions for the endless litany of relational entanglements in which I seem to find myself… or imagine myself to be encumbered by…
Say, I had not heard of this book “The Freedom Circus.” I can’t resist books that recount the stories of those who escaped the horrors of Nazi Germany. I be sure to get this one onto my Amazon Wish List; and also the one referred to in the blurb.

Try offering him a nightcap, maybe a record track as lullaby, I’m sure you can think of something to soothe him and when you do, please share. There’s a lady doing cartwheels over here.

actually it’s morning here; got up early to pen my ode to exuberance, had brekky, then off to gym; it must be evening there; things settling down 🙂

That’s right. Forget the topsy turvy. Yes, done slaying the English language for the evening, now back to the slaughterhouse.
