Maybe it was me
maybe it was her
it was some time ago
a bit of a blur
We both grabbed it greedily
we held it for a while
life lowered its fangs
put on a smile
But she had her demons
I had my ways
we were on different pages
in different plays
Maybe it was me
maybe it was her
it was some time ago
al a bit of a blur
Nice, no blur with the words though. πΌπΆπ΅

There’s just no second guessing pathways. At least not unmapped ones.

that’s for sure: life is a rich and puzzling journey we are set loose on — and the best part is we get to write about it π

very much so, Hobbo: I was walking along the river alone and these thoughts flowed past me, thinking what might have been π

Ah, we can’t turn time back though. A good job really, otherwise we’d spend too long on the what only’s…

I know; i wrote the poem, posted it , then got on with life; as Buddha says, be where you are,; otherwise you miss the moment —

that means so much; thanks; sometimes I avoid putting deeper emotions on the page, private passions but this one spoke out

I know, and respect, that you prefer to keep things ‘lighter’ on the whole, but it just means your ‘deeper’ pieces carry all the more weight when we get them.
Glorious my friend, just glorious

thank you; I was hesitant to put it up but sometimes it’s good to get things off your chest; and anyway considerable time has passed now to salve the rawness:)

Maybe it was Memphis…….? π sometimes I prefer things blurry like biking without my glasses or imaging the details the way I want to see them instead of what they truly are.

I like that π it’s a good attitude to writing, using your imagination rather than visual acuity π
