What’s that? Under the driver’s seat?
A silver hammer.
Maxwell’s?
Lol, No, mine.
What for? In case of a car jacking?
No. In case I’m caught. In a flood.
Pardon?
You remember the floods in NSW a few weeks back when a car tried to drive through a flooded road and the car sank, the driver died? You know what happened?
Not really.
The electronics failed. The driver couldn’t open a door or window to escape. Suffocated. Now if he had a hammer.
Gives a new meaning to the old song, doesn’t it?
What song?
‘If I Had a Hammer’.
no worries, you never know what life will bring, and it never hurts to be prepared

Bang, bang Maxwell’s silver hammer came down when he had sped,
Bang, bang Maxwell’s silver hammer ensured he was not dead!

everyone seems to think so though the chances of me driving through a flooded highway is akin to finding a needle in a haystack 🙂

As long as you’re not getting hammered and then driving, I’d say all is still well. 😉

I always have a tool to break the windows out of the car if we drop into a lake. Doesn’t everyone? 😉
Great one John,

I didn’t think they did; I thought I was a loner, a weirdo but after that story hit the papers, people began to think on similar lines 🙂
