Now it is spent and lying limp
and placid at my feet —
a contentment of inky blue
but the other day if you
could have seen it bucking
with energy , flailing its
wild hair and arching its back
[ sea mountains surfers abseiled
down ] you would not have been
surprised to see it thrust
its loins again and again against
the soft white dunes nor after
to see the body of the foreshore
bruised and torn nor its rump
so foam wracked .

Lol ; the writing was inspired by the storm sequence in ‘King Lear’, with my own kinky little twist π

What awesome imagery and impressive metaphor. The kinky twist is excellent. I think this might be one of my favorites of your poems!

Confucius X. is deeply inscrutable
yet perennially magnanimous, John.

Confucius X. as well as being
Inscrutable, is most mysterious.
But I do know his home address
is the Forbidden City, sometime
between the Zhou and the Xi
Jinping Dynasty, approximately.

Wonderful, refreshing imagery. Really captures the mood of something powerful and undefined. So well done the tug of this one. Chap-booked.

Such a beautiful and creative depiction of the sea. A sultry personification. It does seem to be a beast ready to ravage anyone in its way.
So wonderful, John. π
