On my early walk
I passed a group of musicians
Under the bridge
It sounded like
They were tuning their instruments
In preparation
For a concert
Perhaps a twilight one on the bank
The notes
Bouncing off
each other —Boing boing — like hollow
rubber balls
banjo frogs
amongst the rocks and reeds already
drawing a crowd
Very nice… I love the being boing banjo frog end.

I thought when they really got going they’d break into ‘Duelling Banjos’ from ‘Deliverance’ π

If it werenβt for music, the world would be a far worse place than it already is.

that is so true, Neil: music keeps us sane; even in the depths of the pandemic it was being played and enjoyed π

Ah, love the acoustics beneath a bridge. Makes the notes swell up and fill every available space.

Is this what they call underground music?

hahahaha; Ulle, where do you come up with these zingers ? I can see you as part of a comedy writing team: I wonder if they produce comedies down your way π

One hopes your passing didn’t disturb the music-makers; concentration must be had for every note that’s plucked.

I trod very quietly; it was the other peds that troubled the frogs’ concentration π¦
