I donโt know what Jesus had in mind
when he said, Seek and ye shall find,
probably not these soy and almond protein oats
that soothe the tummy, titillate the throat
whose disappearance from the supermarket shelves
threaten to dismember my notion of self;
but I think He would be pleased I got off my arse
& visited various supermarkets, unafraid to ask
do you stock any of these, flashing my iphone pic
of the last one I had, but their reply is quick:
sorry, they say, you could try other stores
so I haul along my sorry arse to try one more
and lo and behold! joy leapt in my throat
before me sat 5 packets of those soy, almond oats.
With great determination
and self discipline
you sought and you found
and got more
than a mouthful
Congratulations John
you are now
a breakfast cereal disciple

hahahah; thanks David; I’m sure there are worthier things to search for, but you have to start where your heart is ๐

it was a good day, Eden; not the sort of victory Lord Nelson would have applauded but it was good for me ๐

Unwavering quest. Unfazed by failure. I was all giggles. How delightful this reminder to seek until we find. What do they taste like by-the-way? Do they really ease digestion?

better a giggle than a yawn ๐ they taste delicious, more character than round grapes and yes, they really do ease digestion: you don’t need pills. According to a website they are grown in Southern California and harvested from August to late September; you can probably get them in your area ๐

A chuckle-filled story of everyday life down under๐ What do you do with them, John, eat them raw, bake with them or make porridge?

sprinkle a few tablespoons of oat mix over weet-bix and sultanas; pour milk over, makes a yummy breakfast; the oat mix is the secret ingredient —
