Neanderthal.
You know how you get scrambled eggs, right ?
Well I had scrambled dreams.
I forgot my meds. That was the trouble.
All my dreams were Neanderthal.
Batty, belly up, R Rated.
My Id running amuck.
Skeletons spilling out of the closet.
Onto the sidewalk.
Under the lamp-post
where passersby could gawk.
It was one of those nights.
never to be forgotten –

The fact that we dream is incredible. Itβs a whole other dimension.

Coincidentally, I was chased by a bear in my dream last night.

I did. But was defiantly an adventure.

I like that ‘defiantly’ π that’s a good way to approach the messiness of life — or nightmares —

Dreams are fascinating if I ever remember them, and yours sound like quite the adveenture.

it’s the ugly, messy ones you remember, not the details so much as the detritus —

thank you, Worms: it’s a messy poem capturing a messy night; quite a contrast to ‘Whoop’ which was written the day before —

You never know when your sub conscious is going to throw unspeakable awfulness at you. My solution is to cuddle something. It really helps me. I have a pillow for the purpose.
