I hope they pay the ferryman.
I hope they pay him good.
For all his journeyings. all his toing and froings,
miles notched, hours accrued.
over the last four days.
He is resting now.
ferry in dry dock.
It is a busy time of the year. but what do you do?
You do anything for yr kids.
I hope they pay the ferryman.
And they will. Ten fold.
With love and affection.
I’m guessing this isn’t the ferryman across the River Styx? Was initially concerned for what had been going on. Perhaps it’s an actual ferry. One Christmas we had lunch at Berowra Waters north of Sydney. There’s a car ferry there that shunts back and forth across the Hawkesbury. I think they keep pretty busy!

thanks Worms, I had to be careful of that reference; it’s my faithful car, my Holden Cruize, , which is a metaphor for the ferry or is it the other way around> Mind reeling a little; I have to continually think what day it is; hope you had a good one, Worms :)si 🙂

We have had a very quiet time since Christmas. It’s been nice. Has also led to confusion about what day of the week it is though. :-). Hope you get some time out from Cruizing soon. 🙂

I read the comments above, so a ferry as a metaphor for a car, which makes a ton of sense. And how much we depend on our cars. Hope you a had a goo holiday!

John, I don’t trust my family. I told my grandson, ensure I have two silver pieces for the boatman in my pocket. A amazing poem my friend.
